		<description>&lt;strong&gt;WHY CHOOSING A NEW DOMAIN IS IMPORTANT&lt;/strong&gt;

Since the advent of web development tools and the subsequent proliferation of new websites, it almost seemed like there was an unwritten rule that your address had to end with .com. the .coms- dotcoms – appeared to be everywhere, and neither the .org nor .edu seemed to dent the image of the omnipresence .com sites.

We all want to have some degree of uniqueness whenever possible and appropriate. Why do people crave for personalized cars? Or hustle the architect to come up with that unique design for their new home? You may call it an ego trip, but I disagree. No one wants her house to look like million other houses across the country. What limits peoples’ choices are almost always finances.

But why cling to an overused domain when it costs the same, if not more than other less ubiquitous ones? That is the question I asked myself one day, and realized I just had been conditioned to think the net was a .com world, which is of course not true. So I set out to look for alternatives, the better deals. Of course when you overdo something you end up destroying the very essence of what drove to doing it in the first place. For instance, how does a .beautiful earth domain sound? It’s unique but real crass at the same time. It’s always about moderation.

I would recommend the .biz domain. It’s moderate and sounds good to me. It seems to connote a sense of business, even if the owner is a stay at home mom or dad. And many companies now offer it, among them http://www.Gossimer.biz . This is where I got mine at unbelievably cheap price, almost free, but there are others. Freedom of choice is one of the American innate attitudes that make the country great. Try a domain change now, if only for a change!
